- Find "grace in the eyes of the Lord" (Genesis 6:8). It doesn't say here that "the Lord was pleased with Noah" or "found Noah righteous". It says he "found grace". From the beginning of time, the Lord's grace has been what saves man from himself. If Noah had not found grace, the human race wouldn't be in existence today.
- Listen to what God says, and take note of everything He speaks... (see Genesis 6:14-21)
- ... so you can obey "according to all that God commands", as Noah did in Genesis 6:22.
- Don't doubt what God says: if He tells you to do something, do it! (Genesis 7:5)
- Be where He tells you to be at any one time. Trust that He who told you to prepare will take care of you when the flood comes, and after it recedes. When the flood began, Noah got in the ark which he'd built in obedience to the Lord. He only left the ark after God told him to (Genesis 8:16-18). He was telling Noah to leave his temporary shelter and "be fruitful and multiply on the earth".
- Worship the Lord with all that's available to you that pleases Him (see Genesis 8:20).
- Don't get drunk!
